Hard boiled eggs are great for salads, lunch boxes,.etc. I would recommend this product to others. Cook at home,,,,eat cheaply. Great little machine that makes perfect hard boiled eggs with no guessing. Easy to clean and store.
This is a great time saver and easy to use product. I've also used the tray to make poached eggs a few times, they turned out great. This egg cooker is so much easier, than the old fashioned way of boiling eggs. Following the Egg Cooker instructions and you'll have easy to peel eggs.
The Cuisinart Egg Cooker is a great product in helping me stay fit and getting healthy protein. Just one tip, make sure to greese or spray the tray prior to poaching, if not, difficult to clean. I knew there was, my mom had used one for years. Buy it. Her's an Oster product, she's had it over 20 years. Trying to always stay fit, I like to have hard boiled eggs for snacks, inbetween meals.
I tried to find in a department store a few times, but the sales clerk(s) actually told me there is no such thing as an egg cooker. Well worth it. My problem, even though trying constant tips, my own hardboiled eggs never peeled easy. I think the needle used to pierce the shell prior to cooking is smart.
No need to guess if your boiled egss are going to be soft, medium or hard.
After using this cuisinart for almost a year, his son now has one of his own for school. Timer buzzes, unplug it. The product comes with its own measuring cup for water, which has a "pin" on the bottom to prick each egg to keep them from breaking.I purchased this for my boyfriend because of its good "stainless steel" looks.
Just run a cycle of white vinegar and it cleans up with a paper towel.PROS: *Easy to use, almost foolproof. *Seven hard boiled eggs at one time are enough for almost any use.*Stainless steel design looks good *Easy to keep clean without having to "wash."CONS:* "Egg shaped" design, though attracive, is difficult to store (can't put anything on top of the pointed top). Add water, set the time, go.
This egg cooker uses steam to cook up to seven eggs at a time (soft, medium, or hard "boiled). Cleaning is easy, per the instructions. The KRUPS design is flat, easier to store in tight spaces.* No automatic turn off; need to listen for the buzzerRecommended even for those who DO know how to boil an egg; this just makes it so much easier.
I use a KRUPS egg cooker, which uses the same technology but isn't as "good looking" as the cuisinart. It is easy to keep a supply of hard boiled eggs on hand.
My daughter had used one for years, and I finally gave in and purchased - so glad I did. We use mostly for boiled eggs, which has been a time saver for us. The Cuisinart Egg Cooker is excellent if you follow their instructions. Clean with vinegar after each use, and it looks good as new.
